Location: St James Hospital, Leeds

The BSDS are running a brand new Surgical Refresher Course for Consultants on Saturday 8th November, organised by Wal Hussain, Mohs Surgeon & BSDS Secretary. The course will be held at the LIMIT Suite, St James’s Hospital, Leeds.
The course is designed specifically as a refresher course solely for Consultant Dermatologists and will be taught by faculty consisting of Consultant Dermatological Surgeons.
The workshop will provide hands-on practical sessions, with the opportunity for one on one tuition on basic techniques in skin surgery alongside lectures relating to different aspects of dermatological surgery. The course will focus initially on the basics – such as perfecting punch biopsies, curettage, local anaesthesia, the simple primary closure and basic suture techniques. More advanced topics, such as surgical pearls, flaps and grafts and dealing with complications will also be covered.
We are also hosting a complimentary dinner for all the faculty & delegates the night before the course (Friday 7th November), which has kindly been sponsored by LEO Pharma. This will be a great opportunity to meet the faculty & other delegates before the course and we would encourage as many to attend as possible.
The dinner will be at Chaophraya, a Thai Fine Dining Restaurant. If you wish to attend the dinner please select this option on the online registration form.
We have several rooms reserved for the night before the course (Friday 7th November) for delegates who wish to stay overnight.
These have been booked at the Hilton Leeds City, which is conveniently located 200m from both Leeds Train Station and the restaurant.
These have been reserved at a preferential rate of £79 including VAT and breakfast. If you wish to book a room, please select this option on the online registration form.
