The BSDS will be celebrating it’s 29th Annual Dinner on the evening of Tuesday 30th June 2026. Tickets for this event can be bought when registering for the BAD Annual Meeting.
Guest Lecture
We are pleased to announce that our guest lecture this year will be given by an excellent ‘double act’ Dr Nirusha Lachman, Professor of Anatomy at the Mayo Clinic, and Dr Junqian Zhang, Assistant Professor of Clinical Dermatology, University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. They will be giving a lecture titled “A deep dive into facial danger zones for the dermatological surgeon”.
Focus Session
Dr Bav Shergill will also deliver a focus session on surgical tips for the general dermatologist (13:15 – 13:45).
This talk will proceed a blizzard of tips, tricks and experience in the practice of skin surgery. Topics covered will include: ‘How to approach the anxious patient’; ‘Oh no, I can’t stitch this wound together’; ‘I can’t stop it bleeding’ and other mini-crises that the more rounded, general dermatologist may encounter during their working day. The speakers experience in getting themselves out of various surgical holes will be presented too. The aim is to provide a least one tip that can be successfully used by the delegate when they are next back in the clinic.
